About San Diego Woodturners
The San Diego Woodturners Club (SDWT), a Chapter of the American Association of Woodturners (AAW), is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization founded in 1987, by 8 devoted wood turners. Since then, we have grown to approximately 250 members. All of our activities are conducted by dedicated, unpaid volunteers. SDWT meets monthly at the Nottingham Center for the Arts , 240 South Bent Avenue, San Marcos, Ca. 92078. We welcome turners of all skill levels. Please check the website and Newsletter for activities and meeting dates.
Mission Statement: “To foster a wider understanding and appreciation of woodturning as a traditional and contemporary craft and a form of art among the general public, hobbyist, turners, part-time turners, and professional turners. This will be accomplished by providing education, information, organization, technical assistance, and publications relating to woodturning.”
