These San Diego Woodturners Club members volunteer to share their knowledge and expertise with other members of the club. Ernesto Aquino – Fallbrook

I am available for mentoring beginners in the art of making pens, bowls, natural edge bowls, and small resin projects such as filling voids in bowls.

Sally Ault – San Diego, Point Loma Area

I am available for phone, text, email and In person mentoring. I can help with most kinds of turning except segmenting. Tool control, safe ways to work, many ways of holding your work , design, bowls, boxes, spindle work… whatever.

Allen Brooks – Alpine, CA

Allen is a good all around wood turner but emphasizes lidded containers which includes the use of exotic woods, inlays, suction or friction lids, design, finishes and marketing.

Pete Campbell – Temecula, CA
A versatile turner, Pete can help you in almost every area of turning. He is best known for his large hollow forms and lidded boxes.

Joe Fleming – San Diego, CA (Scripps Ranch)
You need it, Joe can do it. That’s all we can say about that.

Oskar Kirsten- San Diego, CA (Pacific Beach)
Oskar is probably best known for his hollow forms, but he can handle any aspect of wood turning.

Jeff Neff- San Diego, CA (Mira Mesa)
Jeff likes to make all types of turnings from bowls and platters, boxes, hollow forms, pens, pierced, textured or carved.  Jeff is also the Mentor Chairman and can be reached at MentorChairman@sdwt.org.

Don Owen – Chula Vista, CA
Don is an amazing, prolific, bowl turner. If you have a question about chain saws, gathering wood, cutting blanks and selecting the best features of the wood, Don is your man.

Brian Saunders – San Diego, CA
Brian is great at pen prep, pen turning and CA Finish
